Document Express
- Document Express is a fee-based document delivery service for journal articles located in the UCSF Library.
- UCSF faculty, students, and staff with current library borrowing accounts are eligible to use this service.
- The Library offers NO rush service. Most articles are delivered within 2 working days of your request.
- To obtain materials not owned at UCSF, use Interlibrary Borrowing.
Requesting Articles
- From many databases (e.g., PubMed), you can use UC-eLinks to order journal articles.
- From within the article citation, click on the UC-eLink button, then click on "Request it".
- This form must be filled out manually. Use this form when you are unable to complete the request using UC-eLinks.
- Enter only one journal article per request form. Entire journal issues cannot be obtained via Document Express.
Receiving Requested Materials
The UCSF Library does not provide Rush service.
Most articles are received within 2 working days.
The Library will email you a web address where you can download your article in PDF format using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Fees
You will receive a billing statement at the end of any month in which you received a requested item. The fee is $0.25 per page fee, minimum $1.
