Access

The door is locked. How do I get access?

Computing spaces are locked after business hours and on weekends. Simply use your UCSF ID to unlock the door. An access code is no longer required.

If you have been issued a new card because your UCSF ID was lost or stolen, only the new card will work with the door ID Card readers. Please contact the UCSF Police for any ID card access-related issues: (415) 476-1414. Only UCSF students, faculty and clinical residents have access.

  • Faculty and Staff must create an account with their UCSF 9-digit Employee ID.
  • General public, non-UCSF students and non-UCSF researchers do not have access.
  • Students must renew their GALEN Account annually. If you are unable to log into the computers after October 1, you may need to renew your GALEN Account.
Active Directory:

Mission Bay workstations require an Active Directory account. If you do not have one, please contact your department Computer Support Coordinator (CSC) or call OAAIS customer support at: (415) 514-5100, option 2.
