PURPOSE
Tips on using QuickSearch to search across the Library's website, list of databases, online catalog, list of online journals, and PubMed@UCSF.
 
 
LIBRARY WEBSITE
 
DATABASES
  • -  Searches list of databases available to the UCSF community.
  • -  Search by title of database or general subject area.
  • -  Displays most relevant results first.
 
BOOKS, JOURNALS, AND MORE
  • -  Searches Library's Online catalog.
  • -  Find online and print resources available at UCSF.
  • -  Searches by words anywhere in the record (Note: at this time, the search does not include authors. To search by author, go directly to the catalog).
  • -  Displays results with most current titles first.
 
ONLINE JOURNALS
  • -  Searches all online journals available to UCSF.
  • -  Only search words in the title of the journal.
  • -  Do not use journal abbreviations.
  • -  Displays titles alphabetically.
 
PUBMED@UCSF
  • -  Searches PubMed@UCSF
  • -  Automatically limited to English Only articles.
  • -  For tips on searching PubMed@UCSF see the PubMed@UCSF QuickGuide.
  • -  Displays most relevent articles first.
