Ask a Librarian
Do you have questions about how to begin your research? Which databases are appropriate for your research topics? How can UCSF personnel and students access library resources from home? Ask a Librarian! We can be contacted in the following ways:
 
IN PERSON
Visit the Reference Office (3rd Floor). Librarians are available Monday - Friday from Noon to 3pm. Ask at the Information Desk to meet with a reference librarian during these hours.
 
BY EMAIL (UCSF only)
UCSF students and personnel may send an email question by completing the email form. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your question will be addressed within one working day.
 
BY APPOINTMENT (UCSF only)
UCSF students and personnel may request an appointment for in-depth research consultations focusing on your specific needs. Call (415) 476-2337 or request a consultation.
 
BY TELEPHONE
Call (415) 476-2337 to reach an Information Assistant or Reference Librarian. The phone is answered only during Information Desk hours. After-hours messages from UCSF students and personnel will be responded to within one working day.
