Milestone for UC eScholarship Repository
Three Millionth Full-Text Download |
In April 2006, the University of California's eScholarship Repository logged its 3 millionth full-text download. It took a year and a half for the repository to register the first million downloads, about nine months to reach the second million, and only 166 days to reach the 3 million mark. The numbers refer to complete articles, or, in some cases, books.
The eScholarship Repository is a free, open-access infrastructure that offers UC departments, centers, and research units direct control over the creation and dissemination of the full range of their scholarship, including pre-publication materials, journals and peer-reviewed series, post-prints, and seminar papers. These materials are freely available to the public online. [back to top] |
