Each year the UCSF Library moves approximately 5,000 volumes to the
UC Northern Regional Library Facility (NRLF),
a climate-controlled, archival quality facility. This transfer makes space for the new books and bound journals that are added to the Library's collection every year.
It will also help the Library accommodate the loss of shelving on the 2nd floor in the coming years.
The Library selects low-use material for NRLF transfer that we anticipate will have the least impact on the research needs of our community.
