Services of the Program
- Browse and borrow at the participating Stanford University libraries, subject to the regulations of those libraries.
- Telephone for information on library holdings and/or availability of specific materials.
- Request that UCSF borrow materials from Stanford.
- Request that journal articles on the Stanford campus be photocopied and mailed to you.

How to Find Items at Stanford University Libraries
You can find items held by Stanford University Libraries by searching the public web version of Socrates: Stanford's Online Catalog. You may also obtain information on Stanford Library holdings by calling the Stanford Catalog Information Desk at (650) 723-9108. Before making a trip to the Stanford campus, it is advisable to call the specific library unit known to have your material to ensure that it will be available when you arrive. At less busy times, staff can check the circulation status of an item. When you call, mention that you are a Stanford/UC Cooperative Program participant.

To Have Stanford Materials Delivered to UCSF
To obtain materials and photocopies from Stanford libraries, submit a request using the UCSF Library's Interlibrary Borrowing Service. For current UCSF personnel and students, the Library will borrow monographs or obtain photocopies of articles from Stanford libraries. A fee may be charged for obtaining materials from some Stanford libraries. For more information, contact the Information Services Desk at (415) 476-2337.

How to Obtain a Reciprocal Services Card
In order for UCSF personnel to enter the Stanford University libraries or to borrow items in person, an access/ borrower's card is necessary. To obtain one, bring your campus picture identification, current UCSF registration card, or other picture identification to the Circulation Desk, 3rd floor of the UCSF Library. You will be issued a Reciprocal Services Program Access/Borrower's Card. Take this card to the Privileges Desk, Cecil H. Green Library, at Stanford University (650) 723-1491.
