EndNote & RefWorks Advanced Features

  • Linking to Full-Text
    You can configure both applications to locate full text, if available, via UC-eLinks.
  • Linking to PDFs
    You can use both applications to link to PDFs.
  • Find and Download PDFs.
    EndNote X2 will find and download PDFs. RefWorks and earlier versions of EndNote will not do this.
  • Store and Cite Images
    EndNote allows you to create records for images and add them to a document. RefWorks does not.
  • Share References
    The RefShare module of RefWorks allows you to share references with colleagues and students. EndNote has a limited capability to do this.
  • PDA Support
    EndNote supports devices with Palm OS.
