Subjects include anatomy, physiology, and surgery; obstetrics and gynecology; forensic medicine and toxicology; homeopathy; antivivisection; women in the health sciences; Californiana including Spanish colonial manuscripts; anesthesia; communicable diseases including cholera, yellow fever, and plague; nursing; dentistry; and pharmacy.

The following is not a complete list of all collections available, but only those with online collection guides. Most of the guides are on the Online Archive of California, which also provides keyword searching of collection guides.
